About Us

Kota Masa Depan is a youth-led non-governmental organization dedicated to provide urban issues forum space, strengthening youth participation, and action to take steps towards the City of Tommorow. This organization has a mission to increase citizens’ awareness of the existence of urban planning in Indonesia. It will bridge urban analytical ideas from professionals and literature to society through webinars, local discussions, and various media.

One of our programs in 2024 is Menuju Masa Depan the Series or ‘Towards Future the Series’. The online forum was successfully registered by more than 100 participants from all over Indonesia to discuss ‘Planning and Bureaucracy: Unveiling Political Power in Decision Making’ and ‘Heritage in City Planning: Now and Then’. We collaborated with experts on urban planning to lead the discussion and 8 communities as a community partner.

Why do We exist?

Knock over the first domino

We realize the lack of public presence in urban development despite the importance of citizens’ participation in planning. We create small yet impactful projects to encourage public concern in Indonesia’s urban challenges and developments.
